My Candidate Statement is below:
The Fountain Valley School District has the honor and responsibility of cultivating a learning and working environment where all our children and our staff feel loved, safe, and supported. My priority as your School Board Trustee is to be available to you and transparent in what actions we take. I will advocate for our students to have more counseling support at each school.
The safety of our students and staff is of the utmost importance, so I will work diligently to ensure our school campuses are secure. I am asking for your vote so I can ensure this is our reality. A reality not just for my children, but for all children and staff.
As a mother of two students in the Fountain Valley School District, Fountain Valley business owner, PTA President, and Girl Scout leader, I have firsthand experience volunteering with our students and staff and can see where we can improve.
We must lead with forward thinking mindsets and take the time to listen to the teachers, parents and community to provide what is truly needed.
We must strive to do better.

Two years ago our community had a clear choice for school board: the same or change, and you overwhelmingly chose change when you voted for me. Now I need you to vote for Megan Irvine to help defeat the opposition to progress that’s still present. I will be voting for Megan and I ask that you vote for Megan as well. FVSD needs new leaders with fresh ideas. Megan will bring FVSD into 2023. I am thoroughly impressed with Megan’s heart for people and inspired by her vision for a better way to do school. Megan is the leader our children need now. As a hospice nurse, Megan is that last piece of love that grants the dying peace. As a mother, I’ve never met someone as devoted to her children’s upbringing centered in the values of doing what’s right. And as a leader, being PTA president, she has endured the darts to make a difference for all children. Simply put, Megan Irvine is the trustee we need to advance the change you asked for. Megan will be a leader who listens and who leads with love so our children are elevated to feel like champions and our staff are championed. She will ensure all our schools are secure and showcase cutting-edge education practices, where everyone enters feeling valued and leaves having learned values and skills that will serve their success for a lifetime. Please join me in voting for Megan Irvine as School Board Trustee for the Fountain Valley School District.
